Awesome Micro Campers You Shouldn’t Overlook

RVs come in all shapes and sizes. One of those sizes is small–micro to be exact. These micro campers aren’t for everybody, but they can be the perfect RV for those looking to:

Save money on upkeep, repair, and maintenance costs. Tow their RV without a heavy-duty truck. Save money on fuel costs. Spend more time outside and less time inside the camper.

Learn about these extra 5 Benefits of Choosing a Smaller RV.

Micro campers come with many advantages to their larger counterparts. They’re easier to maneuver, lightweight, versatile, and affordable. They can be some of the best options out there if you don’t have a large tow vehicle or the money to purchase one. They’re a great choice if you don’t want to own a motorhome. The micro camper designs are unique and interesting, and they’re also pretty inviting despite their small size.

With all that in mind, here are several micro campers that are worthy of your consideration.

Forest River Rockwood Geo-Pro 12RK

The Forest River Rockwood Geo-Pro 12RK is a tiny little camper includes sleeping space, some storage space, and a small kitchen in the rear of the unit accessible from the outside. The small body of the camper allows it to go pretty much anywhere easily, and it can be towed by practically any vehicle thanks to a dry weight of under 1,200 pounds.

This micro camper can sleep up to two people comfortably. It’s under 11 and a half feet long, so getting it maneuvered where you want shouldn’t be too much of an issue, even for folks new to towing.

Forest River Flagstaff E-Pro 12RK

Another good option from Forest River is the Flagstaff E-Pro 12RK. Its layout is essentially the same as the Geo-Pro 12RK, but this model has a slightly different look to it. If you’re looking for something simple with some sleeping space, storage space, and a small kitchen–this option will do just fine.

The Forest River Flagstaff E-Pro 12RK has a weight under 1,200 pounds which makes it easy to tow with pretty much any vehicle. Pair that with its ability to sleep two people and its 11 foot body, and you’re looking at a nimble micro camper with all the essentials.

Forest River No Boundaries 10.6

Here is another one from Forest River. Hey, what can I say, the company makes good small units. This one is called the No Boundaries 10.6. As the name suggests, it’s a bit more rugged than the other options. The camper still comes with all you need, though, including ample storage space, sleeping space, and an outdoor kitchen. A roof rack helps store all your outdoor gear.

The camper is also lightweight. It weighs a mere 1,600 pounds and can sleep up to two people. It is a little longer than the other Forest River options, at nearly 14 feet in length. Overall, this is a fantastic option, especially for someone who lives an active lifestyle and wants to get off the beaten path.

Winnebago Micro Minnie

When it comes to micro campers, you simply cannot overlook the Winnebago Micro Minnie. At seven feet wide, the Micro Minnie includes a full galley with a three-burner cooktop, refrigerator, microwave-convection oven, and a stainless steel sink. You get all the comforts of cooking at home but in a smaller footprint.

Plus, there’s a bathroom with a shower and a linen closet for additional storage. As if that isn’t enough, you can sleep up to five. If you’re looking for the perfect micro camper to take the family on a road trip, this is it. A dry weight of under 5,000 pounds inches this camper into the “small travel trailer,” category. You’ll need a truck or SUV capable of towing over 5,000 pounds.

Winnebago Minnie Drop

Another one from Winnebago, the Minnie Drop offers nimble, simple towing. Several different floorplans size this model up and down. An external shower ensures the great outdoors stays outside, and nothing but the memories come back in with you. Fresh water on command is made easy with 40 gallons of fresh water available even when you’re away from a water source.

The design of the Minnie Drop combines modern function with vintage style for a retro-inspired look that still meets the modern demands of today’s RV enthusiasts. This micro camper can sleep up to three campers and includes a full-sized indoor kitchen with a microwave, two-burner cooktop, and a refrigerator.

Jayco Hummingbird

Packing comfort into a small footprint without sacrificing function is no easy feat, but the Jayco Hummingbird accepts the challenge. By incorporating a Murphy Bed into the design and layout, the Hummingbird is able to double up on space, which also allows it to have a slightly larger bathroom than some of the other micro campers.

It’s lightweight and can sleep up to 3-4 people making it the ideal camper to travel in when taking those roads less traveled. With the Jayco Hummingbird, you’ll be flying in and out of campsites and destinations faster than you realize since it’s so easy to navigate. However, when you find a spot offering breathtaking views, feel free to hover a little longer.

Happier Camper

Redefining what the micro camper is capable of is the Happier Camper. It’s retro meets modern. It’s flexible. It’s ultra-light. It’s as close to perfect as you can get when searching for a small camper that lives large. The secret to happiness with the Happier Camper is the Adaptiv modular interior. Redesign the inside of the camper quickly and easily to fit your lifestyle. No need to commit to a single floorplan when you can have one that continues to adapt to your camping needs.

The footprint is small enough that the camper can fit in a single parking space. The kitchenette comes equipped with a five-gallon freshwater and gray-water tank. The Happier Camper will not only bring a smile to your face and fellow travelers, but it’s proof that amazing things come in small packages.
